Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden major honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had eluded him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
