Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.
Moscow has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.
"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a online statement.
Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.
A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.
Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.
Regional authorities said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were wounded.
The assaults follow nights of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.
The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.
Government officials told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.
Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for further attacks.
